Jeff Dickson

Chief Creative Officer

Jeff's Story

During his 13-year tenure at Walt Disney Features as a Layout Artist and Supervisor, Jeff found his niche specializing in enhancing the story through carefully applied visual language and composition. His efforts had a tangible impact on some of the most iconic animated films of the era.

Remember that breathtaking view of 50.000 Huns pouring down on Mulan’s tiny troop? That is a prime example of what he was able to bring to the films he worked on. But whether it was crafting shots for soaring castles in Beauty and the Beast, the Pride lands of The Lion King, Brother Bear's sprawling Alaskan vistas, or the entire climax to Mulan, his focus has always been on how to compose visuals that make a story come alive.

Having worked with some of the best of Disney’s artists and directors, Jeff later applied what he learned to Storyboarding and Development. In 2012, he supervised Storyboards on the most successful independently produced animated film ever – The Nut Job. In recent years, he has collaborated with a renowned Broadway director to board a live-action version of King Lear and created his animated feature film concept, which goes into production later this year in Europe.

The same creativity and passion Jeff has brought to all the projects he has worked on over the years at Disney and other studios he now brings to Interstellar Media - and to our clients.
